Description
It seems funny to me now, but when my fourth grade class studied the early explorers, during what must have been my first introduction to world geography, I was so taken with their courage and their distant journeys, off to discover new worlds and untouched lands. I remember learning about the Cape of Good Hope, the southernmost tip of the African continent and it being the place where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans collided. While not an official explorer, I have become quite a traveler and truly love visiting faraway lands. Recently, my husband and I took a dream trip to Africa and began our journey by flying into Cape Town, South Africa. While there, we visited the Cape of Good Hope and of course I thought back to fourth grade so long ago, and the little girl that never dreamed she would actually get to set foot on this exotic place!
