Description
Our last morning in Botswana had arrived way too soon, but we had just one more game drive before heading for the airport to begin the long journey home. Headed for Chobe National Park before sunrise, we were hoping to finally see a leopard, the only one of the "big five" that we hadn't yet spotted. There would be no leopard that day, but we did see plenty of wildlife. I was very taken with the landscape, however, in the beautiful morning light. Layers of color, texture, and lines spread out before me with a lone baobab tree, and I felt compelled to capture the scene before I left, knowing that I most likely would never be back to Botswana. Until that last day, I had been so taken with the wildlife that my landscape images were not many. As I look back now, I'm glad I took this one. It always brings a smile to my face as I remember that last day of our African adventure!
