Description
Those of us who are local and able to frequently visit the Great Smoky Mountains National Park always look forward to June when it's time for the abundant mountain laurel bushes show off their delicate beauty. For about four weeks, these beauties can be found in the woods of the mountains, often near a stream or river bank. I love to capture them when a shaft of light cuts through the dense tree cover hitting the blooming flower at just the right angle as shown in this image.
