Description
Standing at the top of a hill and looking over the Yellowstone River valley on a lovely summer afternoon, it occureed to me that this was one time when the scenery almost defied description. The vistas were breathtaking on every side as the famous river winds through the countryside, a patchwork of fields and ranches and rolling terrain. In the distance, higher mountains rise up to meet the sky, providing the perfect backdrop for this idyllic landscape. When this image was taken, the sky was still a darkened blue from the hard rain that had just stopped. The rain had served to freshen everything in sight and the colors were so vibrant. I just wanted to stand there, take it all in, and make the moment last a little longer!
