One thing is certain. There's nowhere else in the world like Venice! Built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea, it has no roads, only canals. It was so difficult to even imagine how it all worked until I visited there. One thing I just had to do while there was take a gondola ride along the Grand Canal. It was so romantic gliding along and being serenaded by our gondolier as we passed by the beautiful architectural masterpieces lining the canal. I wasn't prepared to fall in love with this unique city, but I was totally in awe of this magical place!
