Description
As I prepared for my trip to Africa, I was anticipating two great opportunities for photography...plenty of wildlife and amazing sunsets. This image was taken at the end of a wonderful sunset cruise on the Chobe River in Botswana. We had seen wildlife along the entire cruise, and this sunset was an added bonus. Simple in composition, I like the positioning of the sun in this shot as it makes its final descent behind the horizon. The fringe of the silhouetted weeds rising from the bank of the river provided a pleasant foreground for the intensely colored sky. Already wanting to get back to Africa. I'm afraid I'm hopelessly hooked!
