Description
Tucked away in the Bavarian Alps, Salzburg instantly became a personal favorite on a recent tour of Austria. I loved so much about this charming city...music, architecture, friendly people, intimate cafes, incredible pastries. One thing that got my attention were the abundant churches in Mozartplatz (town square) with bell towers that chimed twice a day, morning and evening, on a timed schedule one after another. Once the bells began, they went on uninterrupted for about 15 minutes in church by church, in succession. It was delightful! My only problem was that we didn't have nearly enough time in Salzburg, so I'm already trying to convince my husband that we need to return!
