Description
When I observe and think about giraffes, they seem to be a creature of great contradictions. How can the same animal come across as lanky, gangly, and awkward while at the same time be amazingly graceful, lithe, and agile? This beautiful animal seems to have all of those traits at the same time. Certainly one of my favorite animals that we saw on our expedition to Africa was the giraffe...a thrill every single time. This pair was seen along the banks of the Chobe River in Botswana toward the end of our African adventure.
