Description
It was our first game drive, and we left the hotel while it was still very dark in order to get to Kruger National Park before sunrise. Excitement was palpable as we boarded the safari vehicles and began our adventure along rough dirt roads leading into the African bush. As we crept along all kinds of eerie sounds met our ears as animals began to move about. As first light arrived and we could see just a little, we noticed that it was very foggy in certain areas, adding to the mystique of this wonderful experience. Just about the time that things cleared up enough for us to see fairly well, our driver rounded a turn in the road and came to an abrupt halt. Oh my goodness! There in the road, right in front of our jeep, was a mama rhinoceros with her baby nursing. We watched and cameras clicked for several minutes until the baby was finished eating breakfast, and that's when I took this photo. Rhinos wouldn't win the award for the most photogenic animals I've ever seen, but I couldn't have been more excited. Our day had started with a bang and just got better!

Funny, Mama Looks A Little Off Balance Here!
Marcy Wielfaert replied:
Thanks for noticing, Robert! I went back and tried to make her look straighter, but I think I'm going to start over with a similar image.

Mama looks like she's about to fall over !!
Marcy Wielfaert replied:
Thanks for noticing, Allen! Once you pointed it out, it bothered me, too. I went back and tried to straighten her, but I think I'm going to just start over with a similar image and see what I can do. :)
