Description
This colorful street mural, painted on the wall of the Empire Diner in Chelsea, is just one of 18 works by the Brazilian street artist Kobra that can be seen in New York City. The series of murals is entitled "Colors of Freedom", and each piece in the series is packed with vibrant color and stunning to see in person. This one features a Mount Rushmore-like setting with the faces of Andy Warhol, Frida Kahlo, Keith Haring, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. I actually captured this image while on a bus tour of the city and was unable to get it full on, but I liked this point of view, with the last two faces only partially visible. Street art has hit new heights with this beautiful mural!
