I love to be walking in a large city and find a spot just like this one! The old church looks as if it is squeezed in among different styles of architecture from various periods of time. Behind the dome of the church, contemporary skyscrapers rise to the sky, adding yet another layer of age and architecture. It speaks of progress and preservation. Contrast of textures, colors, tones, styles, and building materials juxtaposed in this space all work in harmony and can be seen as representative of the diverse cultures, lifestyles, and peoples who inhabit this fabulous city.
