Description
Lucy Maud Montgomery, the author of "Anne of Green Gables" said that many of her favorite memories took place at Silverbush, the name she gave to the home of her aunt and uncle who lived at Park Corner, Prince Edward Island. The old homestead is now a tourist site with a museum and beautiful gardens that attracts visitors from all over the world who are fans of the irrepressible Anne who has stolen the hearts of millions of little girls. My husband and I visit Prince Edward Island annually, and I always make my pilgrimage to this site to enjoy the setting and shop in the little gift shop/cafe on the premises. I took this image during my last visit and thought the dramatic sky and windswept grasses added a dimension of interest to the familiar scene.
