Description
This view of the Orsay Museum in Paris, one of the world's premier art museums, was taken while on a cruise of the Seine River on our first day in Paris. Located on the left bank of the Seine, the museum houses numerous masterpieces and contains paintings, sculpture, furniture, and photography. The building was originally contructed in 1898 as a railway station for the 1900 Worlds Fair and exemplifies beaux-arts architecture, and is currently considered one of those iconic sites to see while in the city of lights.
