Description
For several months as I anticipated my upcoming trip to South Africa, I kept trying to imagine what it would be like there. I knew that we were scheduled to take several safaris and game drives during the course of the 18 day excursion, and my mind just always went to a jungle landscape. I imagined very dense bush with lots of heavy trees full of monkeys and difficult terrain to navigate through as we searched for the illusive wildlife. It wasn't really anything like I imagined. This image was taken as the fog was lifting on our first venture into Kruger National Park. It was uniquely beautiful with hills and vistas and curvy bumpy roads, and we didn't have to look very hard for wildlife because animals were everywhere! It was fabulous for this animal lover photographer, and I was immediately hooked. I've already convinced my husband that we need to return next year and visit Kenya and Tanzania. Now I can begin imagining what that will be like...
