Artist's Description
The Arkansas River winds through the Royal Gorge near Canon City, Colorado. My family had visited this area many years ago and enjoyed the canyon view from the top of the gorge, but last January, when my husband and I visited once again, we decided to take the train through the gorge as it follows the curves of the river. We had an unusually warm day for mid January, so it was amazingly pleasant as we stood outside on the rear platform of the train and took pictures. I would highly recommend this train adventure. Although we chose not to enjoy dinner along the way this time, it is an option and the train ride is a great way nice to enjoy nature any time of the year.
