Artist's Description
I really couldn't tell you exactly what it is that got a hold of me the first time I visited Ireland. It is one of a few places that just grabbed my heart and won't let go, making me want to return again and again. These brooding, moody skies and soft summer days bring to me a sense of comfort and coziness, especially while lingering over a cup of tea in front of a warm fire. As much as I love the landscapes and scenery in this magical land, it just may be the people that draw me back. The Irish have a welcoming, embracing way that makes you instantly feel at home. Since that first trip, I have returned once, but continue to hope that there are more ventures to the emerald isle in my future.

Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
