Artist's Description
The quaint little fishing village of French River begins to wake up early on a late summer morning because it's the beginning of lobster season and plenty of work to be done. Fishermen arrive in their pick up trucks and park behind the colorful fishing shacks lined up along the dock. Traps and gear are loaded and boats start up and head out to sea while it's still very early. I love to be present when the hustle and bustle begins, but the moment in this image is a special one because it's right before the action begins...a final quiet, calm instant to enjoy and take in the peace and serenity that will soon be lost until late evening.

Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures!
