Driving through rural Colorado on our way to Colorado Springs from Breckenridge, my husband and I spotted this tiny chapel at the back of a family farm. I imagine it's used strictly by the family for times of prayer and worship, but I couldn't help but think that it makes a strong statement of faith for all who pass by. Although small and subtle, it's very existence speaks of the importance and priority of Christian experience in the life of this rural farm family. My original photograph has been digitally enhanced to achieve a painterly presentation.
Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
