One of my favorite things to do when visiting Prince Edward Island at the end of summer each year is to drive the rural country roads and look for unusual barns to photograph. This somewhat whimsical, weathered, crooked blue barn caught my eye as we drove by, and I asked my husband to turn around and go back by it so that I could take another look. I liked the character and texture of the structure, but also enjoyed the fact that this barn was not out in a field like so many others, but instead it was very close to the home on the property under a canopy of trees. The trees added a nice element and made the composition complete for me!

Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
