Artist's Description
I love to watch the ospreys as they fly high over the water, spot a fish, do a graceful pirouette in the sky, and dive straight down making a giant splash in the water. Most often they come up in the still splashing water with a good sized catch. After finding a good spot to devour the meal, here they come again and repeat the routine. I have sat at Fort Loudon Dam for hours enjoying the spectacle and I'm always so happy when the ospreys return to our area after their winter break in Florida.
About Marcy Wielfaert
Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
