While accompanying my husband on a recent business trip to San Francisco, I took pictures while he worked! It suited me, and I used the opportunity to better develop my night photography while I had such great views of the city lights at night. Fortunately, our locations was great, and it was just a short walk from our hotel to this pier. I love the perspective from the end of the pier looking back at the city financial district. The starbursts on the lamp posts, the texture of the wooden floor surface, the leading lines, and the angles inherent in this perspective all work together to make the shot. This was a favorite of all the images that I took on this beautiful spring evening in early April.
Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
