Just outside of the Gardiner, Montana entrance to Yellowstone National Park, my husband and I discovered a lovely area known as the Tom Miner Basin. While exploring on a beautiful mid July evening, a sudden storm appeared from nowhere and added some unexpected drama for our lenses. It rained hard for a brief time, and then moved quickly on. Everything was refreshed from the rain, and as the sun came out and the dark clouds receded, we were left with this incredible view. Images like this are the reason I enjoy landscape photography so much!

Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
