Artist's Description
Visiting London the week between Christmas and New Year's was a great experience for my husband and me. We took advantage of an incredibly inexpensive trip and wondered if we had made a good choice to travel in the winter months with such short days. It was fabulous! The city was decorated for the holidays, our weather was actually unseasonably warm, and we had not one drop of rain the entire time we were there! This image was taken on our last full day in the city just before we rode the London Eye, as we were walking over the Thames to buy our tickets. The soft colors of sunset accent the background and make a nice backdrop along with the cloud filled sky. This image has been digitally enhanced from my original photograph to achieve a more stylistic presentation.

Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
