Artist's Description
Even though we don't receive very much snow where I live in eastern Tennessee, when it does snow, it's usually unexpected, it disappears quickly, and it's a heavy, wet snow that accumulates quickly and clings to every branch of every tree...the most beautiful kind of snow, in my opinion. Recently we were thrilled to have a wonderful surprise on a sleepy February Saturday morning, and everyone was caught off guard. Before we knew it, everything was beautifully transformed into a winter wonderland. Although it was gone very soon because the temperatures weren't cold enough to maintain it, we thoroughly enjoyed a few hours of bliss!

Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
