On our last evening on Prince Edward Island each year, my husband and I get everything packed up before dinner, and then as soon as we're finished eating, we "make the rounds" to all of our favorite near by spots to savor our last sunset on PEI until next year. This was what we were doing when we spotted this great blue heron on some rocks along the shore in the fishing village of Rustico. He paid no mind to our cameras clicking away and documenting his every move as he jumped and perched all around the rocks looking in cracks and openings down into the water to see what he might attack. I liked this position, just as a capture of his prey is eminent.
Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
