Description
While visiting Anchorage, Alaska I took lots of flower images because the flowers were so incredibly abundant and beautiful. This one was a flower that I hadn't seen before, but I found it interesting, and when titling the photo, "Frivolous" just seemed to fit for some reason. While researching and figuring out exactly what kind of plant this was, I was surprised to learn that there are over 180 varieties of spider lilies. I liked the clarity of the pistils of the bloom in front with the soft focus of the rest of the flower. This perky little bloom is both unique and interesting.
