Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption. The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton. Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").
Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Douglas Dam is part of the Tennessee Valley Authority's flood control system and is located in Dandridge, Tennessee. You can always count on plenty of great blue herons, American bald eagles, and osprey competing for food at the site. At certain times of the day, a loud alarm horn will sound, the gates of the dam open, and water surges into the river along with plenty of fish. The water at these times is rough and that's why a large sign is posted right in front of the dam, warning of dangerous waters and violent surges. The birds of prey navigate the rough waters quite well as they swoop in and out grabbing fish and then many time stealing another from one of their fellow hunters. It's quite a show and always a great opportunity for good pictures. I liked this one because the heron is in good light, it has nice lines and textures, and conveys a message.
Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
