Colorful and weathered, fishing shacks sit in a row along the wharf at Graham Pond on the eastern side of Prince Edward Island. Lobster traps always seem to be a part of these local nautical scenes and are leaning against one of the buildings awaiting the time to be placed on a boat and carried out in the bay where they just might catch a few lobsters during the appropriate time of year. So many small harbors dot this small province of Canada, all the same in a lot of ways, but all unique at the same time. On a recent drive to the eastern part of PEI, my husband and I discovered Graham's Pond, a new spot for us and just had to stop to investigate this charming spot a little more closely.
Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
