Artist's Description
Many farms in Prince Edward Island stretch right up to the shore along the rugged red cliffs. Such is the case with this hayfield near Cape Tryon lighthouse on the north shore of the island. On a very windy morning in late summer, I decided to walk a bit along the tops of the cliffs away from the lighthouse. I was actually quite a ways out when I crossed this farmer's field and couldn't resist the shot of the lighthouse from this perspective. Although I had taken many hundreds of images of this Cape Tryon over the years, I had never ventured to this side until now. I really liked being able to include the huge bales in the foreground of the shot.

Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
