Artist's Description
June is the month when the mountain laurel bushes in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park show off their delicate blooms. The woods of Cades Cove is a great place to wander around and enjoy these beauties that are often located near the banks ofstreams and creeks running through the forests. I think of these blossoms as the jewels of the woods and find them a captivating subject to photograph. I like the pairing of this exquisite bloom with the defination of love found in I Corinthians 13:1.

Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures!
