Description
On a winter photo excursion to Grand Teton National Park, my husband and I decided to venture over the Teton Pass on our last day in the area. Although we had been to the Tetons several times during the last year, we had never made the trip over the mountains to Idaho, so it was new territory for us. A thick hoarfrost covered every branch of every tree, weed, and bush, and as the morning sun began to shine upon on the landscape, the effect was magical! I loved this square composition showcasing the tall frosted trees of the immediate foreground against the distant mountain with its own frosted trees and snow covered hillside. The row of cattails in the bottom of the photo add yet another natural layer to the landscape.
