Description
The iconic Sunsphere, added to the Knoxville skyline for the 1982 Worlds Fair held in the city, completes the skyline image taken from the Gay Street Bridge on a lovely fall evening at sunset. The area of the city in this image is known as Volunteer Landing, a bustling area along the river in the shadow of the University of Tennessee, where restaurants and other popular gathering venues provide a great destination for Volunteer fans to meet before and after athletic events. Especially beautiful in the fall season, there's also a walking path here where residents and visitors can enjoy this scenic part of the city.
