Description
A spot that everyone who visits Savannah, Georgia must visit is Bonaventure Cemetery. Featured prominently in "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil," a 1997 classic movie, I would have never thought that a cemetery could possibly be such an attraction. However, on a recent trip to Savannah (our fifth), we finally decided to see what the big deal was since everyone else seemed to have this site on the top of their lists. It was fantastic! The beauty of blooming azaleas, scattered throughout the old live oak trees with hanging Spanish moss, is breathtaking, and there's an amazing peace and serenity there that compelled us to go back time and again during our five day visit.
