As the afternoon sun begins to set on a lazy summer day in Cades Cove, the light along the Loop Road, just past the Dan Lawson place, couldn't be any better. Most of the tourists are on their way to the Gatlinburg restaurants by now, and those of us who linger a bit are always rewarded by nature's refreshing ability to let us know that all is right with the world. I marvel at how refreshing just being out in God's creation is to me. Most often when the cares of life start taking a toll, a trip to the Cove is my cure. My soul is restored as I head back home after the light begins to fade...
