Riding to the top of Mount Pilatus and seeing the view of Lake Lucerne tucked in the Swiss Alps was an unforgettable experience. I've been blessed to do this twice, and the second time was just as breathtaking as the first. At almost 7000 feet in altitude, Mount Pilatus is located in central Switzerland just outside the beautiful city of Lucerne. While on our way up, I was able to capture a shot of the other tram coming down the mountain with the amazing scenery in the background. Not really expecting that the image would be much, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it after returning home. I love the way the rugged terrain of the foreground turns into an ethereal backdrop of lake and soft looking peaks in the distance. I have stylized this version digitally by deepening the colors for a dramatic painterly presentation.
