Description
Built in the early 1870's for his two daughters by Colonel Hamp Tipton, the homestead known as the Tipton Place includes the home and several outbuildings as well as a cantilever barn across the road. This is the second to last historic structure along the route as visitors follow the Loop Road through Cades Cove. I think I like the little crooked fence that stands in front of the house best!
