Description
An iconic symbol of Charleston hospitality, the Pineapple Fountain is located in Waterfront Park. Waterfront Park is a twelve-acre park along approximately one-half mile of the Cooper River in Charleston, South Carolina. The park received the 2007 Landmark Award from the American Society of Landscape Architects and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. This was one of the photographs that I had my list for our recent trip to Charleston, but my goal was to capture it at sunrise. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate and we had a string of mornings with heavy cloud cover during our five day stay, but I liked the way it looked in late afternoon as the golden light of sunset appeared in the distant sky.
