Description
As a photographer, I've witnessed many, many sunrises through the years. There have many outstanding displays of nature where the sun has exploded on the scene with a sudden blast of blinding light. The sunrise captured on this morning, as I found my way through a cornfield, following a rutted farmer's lane on Prince Edward Island in the dark, is my favorite sunrise. I stood all alone on this peaceful shore and witnessed the most gentle, unassuming appearance of the sun. It was perfect and such a wonderful way to begin the day. I felt refreshed and rejuvenated by just being there. Much later, when I developed this image, I remembered that feeling and thought that this verse from Psalm 23 was a very appropriate pairing for the photo.
