The Old Course at St Andrews Links in Fife, Scotland is the oldest golf course in the world. Archbishop Hamilton's Charter in 1552 is the earliest documentary evidence that allowed the people of St Andrews to play golf on the Links. On a recent tour of Scotland, my husband and I visited the renowned location, although we are not golfers ourselves. Nevertheless, it was a lovely spot and in a superb location on the outskirts of the town of St. Andrews, home of St. Andrews College where Prince William met his bride, Kate Middleton.
