Description
It didn't take me long at all to fall in love with Tanzania! While there on a recent safari adventure, we visited Tarangire National Park before moving on the The Serengeti, and both locations were wonderful. The wildlife was abundant, but I also truly loved the landscapes, especially in Tarangire. The Baobab trees all looked like they were dead during the winter months but our guide was quick to let us know that they really come to live with vibrant green foilage during the spring and summer months. I actually loved the winter version with the eerie look of the large, round trunks and bare branches. I decided to convert this image to black and white to stress the silhouette and contrast of the landscape composition. This wonderful safari road climbing the hill toward the tree and making a turn at the top creates such a balanced scene, made even better by the heavy layered clouds above.
