It was a beautiful summer morning when I visited Lake Radnor State Park in Nashville for the first time. There's a great hiking trail around the perimeter of the lake through picturesque woods. I had heard rumors that there were several owls in these woods, and that one of them had little owlets and had spotted by other photographers in the area. That was my mission for the day, but although I walked around the three mile trail carrying two heavy cameras and a tripod, I never saw the owls. Instead I had to be happy with other birds, a few deer and gorgeous scenery. This peek through view of the reflections of the trees on the other side of the lake was especially nice. Going to have to try again to locate the illusive owls, but I did discover a great state park that I hadn't ever visited until then.
