Artist's Description
While in Montana for about ten days, I became addicted to photographing barns and rural landscapes. More often than not, I could find a great barn when I saw the sky changing and becoming very dramatic, as it did almost every afternoon that we were there. On this particular day, I was out taking pictures of this beautiful white barn when the sky darkened incredibly fast, and I actually began to hurry and get my pictures for fear that the distant lightening was headed my way. I love the result and was happy that my barn at that time happened to be white because the contrast was great against the troubled sky.
About Marcy Wielfaert
Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
