Description
A relative of the more common eastern bluejay, stellar's jays are found in the western United States, primarily west of the Rocky Mountains. These beautiful songbirds are striking indeed with their bright blue color and dark black crested head. I spotted this one in Rocky Mountain National Park on a winter day at Bear Lake.
