Springtime in Delphi, Greece Poster

Our short visit to the beautifully charming town of Delphi, Greece was wonderful! We visited the Oracle of Delphi archaeological site, had lunch in an amazing local, multi-generational family owned restaurant, and had one of the best views you can imagine from our hotel room balcony. Standing on our balcony, the views in every direction were breathtaking. Fortunately, we were able to enjoy both sunset and sunrise at this location. The lovely eastern view, perfect in the early morning, was captured in this image. The only church of Delphi is found in the modern town, the Orthodox Cathedral of Agios Loukas, one of the finest examples of Byzantine architecture. It shined like a jewel in the captivating light of morning. In the other direction, our view was scenic landscape that lit up at sunset in a most amazing way. Certainly the only negative to our time in Delphi was that it was way too short!

Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
