Description
A thrill for me came when visiting South Africa recently, and we went to Boulders Beach, home to a large colony of African penguins. These entertaining creatures make this beach their year round home and have become quite a tourist attraction for the area. I find these birds endearing, and it was a great pleasure to spend about 45 minutes with them on a beautiful fall afternoon. With the waddle walk and head hanging low, this little guy makes me think he was not having a good day. I also like the way he has one of his flippers forward and one behind him making a wonderful profile shot!
