Description
Religious art, relics, and icons are an important part of many houses of worship and cathedrals. This beautiful depiction of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ was spotlighted in a special alcove of Mainz Cathedral in Germany. It was very impressive because of the detail and colors of the sculptures as well the expressions on the faces. I rarely take pictures of cathedral art, but I loved this one so much that I wanted to have a lasting memory of it.
