This image highlights the home of the Tennessee Volunteers football and basketball teams on a perfect fall morning along the Tennessee River in Knoxville. This view, taken from across the river, showcases the entirety of the major University of Tennessee sports facilities, including both Neyland Stadium and Thompson Boling Arena. The "Home of the Vols" sign, mounted high above the stadium, welcomes hundreds of thousands of football fans from across the southeastern United States on any given Saturday during the college football season each year. The marina in the foreground provides an anchoring spot for many of the boats that are part of the Vol navy, a group of UT fans that congregate on the river during football season to either watch the game from their boats, a local bar, or be conveniently located to avail themselves of access to Neyland Stadium.
