Description
A visit to Berry College in Rome, Georgia is always a pleasure and a chance for some photo opportunities. Berry is not your usual campus, with a huge wildlife refuge area, a equine area with acres and acres of beautiful horses, ponds, fabulous buildings, an old grist mill, and even an eagles nest. One of my favorite spots is Frost Chapel, set high on a hill and backed by woods. On this summer day, the colors of the surrounding area provided a nice contrast with the more neutral stone construction of the building. This lovely arched and beamed breezeway is part of the exterior. I loved the repeating patterns of the stone pillars, beams, and lanterns that all serve to provide a welcoming entry path.
