Artist's Description
Perhaps stark and desolate for some, but I truly love the peace and serenity of a cold, frosty morning along Sparks Lane in Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Gone are the hordes of people who descend upon this place in the other three seasons, and even many locals stay away during winter. That enables the rest of us locals, who love it regardless of the season or weather, to enjoy some delicious solitude and contemplation. I'm a firm believer in the fact that our beautiful world is to be enjoyed all year round.
About Marcy Wielfaert
Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
