The Brahman is an American breed of zebuine beef cattle. It was bred in the United States from 1885 from cattle Kankrej, originating in India, imported at various times from the United Kingdom, from India and from Brazil. Out and about very early one morning, I was headed in a new direction to try to find some great morning light on rural scenes. I my mind were barns, silos, farmhouses, etc, but when I passed this pasture and noticed the Brahman cattle there, I had to stop because it's very unusual to see this particular type of cattle in home location. As I walked over to the fence to take a few shots, of course all of the cows immediately stopped grazing and just stood like statues staring at me. As it turned out, I liked this image much better than what I had originally had in mind when I stopped. Loved the individual expressions on these curious faces!
